Once known as the Caspian Sea, now a demilitarized, lawless wasteland, The Flats is a no-man’s-land of ruin and otherworldly danger. Irreparably scarred by a Soviet-era cobalt bomb, the desolate region is cut off from all official oversight—no nation or the UN dares set foot here.
With its borders sealed tight and heavily patrolled by wary militaries, The Flats is a quarantined nightmare, where law and order have long since been abandoned, left for the desperate, the warring, and the mad to fight over what remains.
Inside, electromagnetic storms render all communications dead, and disturbances seem to consume signals, isolating anyone daring to enter. By nightfall, the skies pulse with a vivid aurora, caused by interference with the magnetosphere, casting a glow over the land.
Dvunogiye—the anthropomorphic remnants of Soviet experiments—are no mere rumors. Once confined to labs, they are now a common part of life in The Flats, and in some places beyond. Altered by the bomb’s lingering radiation, Mutants developed unsettling powers, and cryptids from ancient folklore prowl the deserts and shadowed forests.
To survive in a land forsaken by governments, where neither law nor reason holds sway, and every soul must fend for itself, takes serious guts. Enter if you dare—but know that nothing, and no one, will come to save you.
